Lettered "Effigies Luca Leidensis propria manu incidere." followed by a decorative undulating line in the lower margin.
This is an anonymous etching after a drawing by Albrecht Dürer in the British Museum (1910,0212.103) of an unidentified sitter; it was once believed to be a self-portrait by Lucas van Leyden as a result of the inscription in the bottom margin.
